Team GB Ball 2015

“Huge thanks… a fabulous evening and we have had a lot of compliments.”
- Team GB

For Team GB, the annual Ball is the highlight of their fundraising year. We were delighted to be asked to give it the Timebased touch.

A host of sporting greats, celebrities, and Olympic hopefuls hit the red carpet at the prestigious Royal Opera House. Lord Coe. Sir Steve Redgrave. Sir Ben Ainslie and Georgie Thompson. Tom Daley. Sharron Davies. Lizzy Yarnold. Beth Tweddle. Luke Campbell. Hosting the event were Victoria Pendleton - Great Britain's most successful female Olympian – and TV anchor Mark Durden-Smith.

We transformed one of London’s grandest old venues into a chic and contemporary space, with a splash of all the colours of Rio de Janeiro. An upstairs lounge and bar area, inspired by a Brazilian theme, complemented the main event space in the Paul Hamlyn Hall, where a striking floral installation set the scene.

“Sport is a universal language, building more bridges between people than anything else I can think of.”
- Lord Coe

Guests were treated to a champagne reception and a banquet provided by official Team GB partner Aldi. After dinner, an auction and raffle provided the entertainment.

We handpicked some Great British talent to provide a soundtrack to the evening, with both X Factor star Rebecca Ferguson and Brit Award winner Ella Eyre taking to the stage. Team GB’s countdown to the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics had begun with a bang.
