Creative Event Brief:

This was the second year Charles Worthington was the official Style Partner of the Orange BAFTAs. To honour this Charles Worthington wanted to create a unique, cool, calm and above all glamorous and contemporary salon space within a traditional floral/chintz suite in the Dorchester Hotel. The space had to reflect the essence of the Charles Worthington brand whilst accommodating both the press for the introduction of his new luxurious range of ‘Dream Hair’ products, and the flock of actresses who were to have their hair perfectly styled by Charles and his team before the awards ceremony.

Event Planning & Approach:

Timebased produced a clean, contemporary and original salon style in the Dorchester suite. This took inspiration from Charles Worthington’s Salon and combined with new materials, accented with bold pieces of furniture and subtle but effective use of colour and lighting. This approach progressed the event from previous years and created a more slick and contemporary alternative to draping. LEDs were set to a specific colour palette of pink that echoed the packaging of the Dream Hair collection and a bespoke product wall with an embedded plasma was displayed for a seamless showcase of the product range.

Event Results:

Charles Worthington and his team were all delighted, reporting that they had achieved their target number of beauty press and from all the key titles. The salon element was fully operational with every celebrity and VIP guest leaving the suite with absolutely stunning hair creations.
