Brief:

As an event management company based in London, it was Timebased Events’ task to produce a high profile launch event for GUESS - a party to celebrate the launch of the new GUESS flagship store on Regent Street, London and to highlight the GUESS Girl image archive. A photographic retrospective exhibition was inaugurated at the launch event, with an exclusive cocktail party for artists, models, musicians and industry leaders and was open to the public for a week. The exhibition contained visuals from GUESS over the past 28 years including candid backstage and previously unseen images. It had to be an impactful and creative event - designed to remind the press and the public that denim is the heritage of the GUESS brand.

Approach:

Timebased created an interactive, stylish, sexy and creative event with an upbeat, cool atmosphere to match the GUESS brand. Our creative event planning ensured that opulent features were created throughout the event space to wow guests and highlight the timeless nature of the brand. The venue was divided into key areas as is GUESS Girl Gallery; Luxury Boudoir Area; Neon World; Denim World and GUESS Cinema.

Results:

Glowing press coverage was received post-event and GUESS founders Paul & Maurice Marciano and the GUESS global team hosted one of the greatest celebrations of the brand’s history. As coordinators of the launch event, we ensured they were joined by 500 party-goers. These included the world’s leading fashion players and celebrities such as Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Richard Jones, George Lamb, Nancy Dell’Olio, Martine McCutcheon, Jameela Jamil, Ironik, Simon Webbe, Brian Friedman, Blake, The Dolly Rockers, Erik Hassle and Zoe Salmon. GUESS were delighted by the our management of the launch event - it had exceeded their expectations and furthered our reputation as one of London’s premier event organisers.
