TELEGRAPH DIGITAL FASHION INITIATIVE LAUNCH PARTY

Client Feedback:
“I can't thank you enough for your help and professionalism - we know we're demanding as a client and are inclined to do everything in house (because we think no one else matches our standards!), but we'd be delighted to work with you again. Thank you so much for helping us to make the event such a success. You did an amazing job.”

TELEGRAPH
Creative Event Brief:
The Telegraph was launching a sophisticated fashion web site with unique editorial content and secret weapon, the I SPIED section; the best fashion and beauty buys, as recommended by their experts, that can be purchased right there and then. This unique digital fashion offering was something that the Telegraph wanted to mark and celebrate with a hotly anticipated party in a gorgeous and exclusive London venue. The key element to showcase at the event was the web site and so this had to be hero. The client wanted their guests introduced to this in a memorable, striking and dramatic way. They wanted the experience to be larger than life, but clean and impactful.
Event Planning & Approach:
Our chosen venue was One Marylebone, with its dramatic exterior and stunning combination of original church features and contemporary touches which we lit to beautiful effect. Inside the venue the web site was back projected on to 4m wide projection screens which stood on slim black legs and appeared to be floating in the centre of the high domed space. Runway footage of models was spliced with sexy shots of the new website. The screens were on a 50 second delay creating a moving wall-scape, and varied visual experience.
High design furniture was scattered in the corners to provide gorgeous seating for the guests in a neutral colour palette of silver, black and white. Floorstanding Lola vases were over-spilt with beech leaves, fresh pink Bella Donna lilies, dark velvety pink Amaranthus and powder pink hydrangeas, reflecting the colours and textures of the invitations. We also secured hot female DJ duo LOU&NOVA –curators of soundtracks for the likes of Christopher Kane, Anna Piaggi, Selfridges and the V&A - to play an upbeat, fashionable set for the night.
Event Results:
The client was delighted with the attendance and key titles that were there. The guests were a mixture of fashion editors, directors, style experts and columnists. Contributing editors of the site included Hilary Alexander, Sarah Mower, Justine Picardie and Mary Portas – all of whom also attended. LOU&NOVA played an edgy, up tempo set that set the party scene perfectly and created just the right buzz and energy for the night which was a huge success and excellently received.
