GLAMOUR WOMEN OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2010

Client Feedback:
“Just wanted to say a huge, huge thank you to you and all your team for yet another amazing Glamour Awards. Seven years of magnificence from Timebased and every year the Awards just get better and better. The stage set was superb this year and even though the weather was battling against us (which you managed to sort out too by the evening), the courtyard and venue looked amazing too. As always it is a pleasure to work with you and your team and we thank you all for your efforts. Here’s looking forward to the 2011 awards!” GLAMOUR
Creative Event Brief:
In the seventh year that Timebased has produced the stand out women’s awards ceremony of the year, the challenge continues to be to make it even better than the preceding years. This year Vaseline Sheer Infusion were sponsors requiring a carefully designed approach to complement their ad campaigns showcasing the moisturising benefits.
Event Planning & Approach:
To create synergy between Vaseline Sheer Infusion and Glamour we gave the space a modern and contemporary feel by adding layered coloured lighting that brought the Sheer Infusion ad campaign to life, as well as water features, luscious green foliage and fragrant flowers in the courtyard to give a luxury boutique hotel feel to the event.
Event Management Results:
The event was a roaring success with all key celebrities attending and partying the night away until the early hours of the morning. Cheryl Cole was the belle of the ball in a Julien Macdonald dress stealing the show as she was awarded the Glamour ‘Woman of the Year’ award by heart-throb actor Jason Lewis from Sex and the City.
Other winners and guests included Zoe Saldana, Nicole Richie, Florence Welsh, Lily Allen, Kelly Rowland, Christine Bleakley, Dizzee Rascal, Naomie Harris, Tinie Tempah, Nick Jonas, Pixie Lott, Duffy, Alexandra Burke, Pixie Geldolf, Sir Patrick Stewart, Tess Daly, Karen Gillan, Lisa Snowdon, Fearne Cotton, Keeley Hawes, Abby Clancy, Rachel Stevens, Dianne Vickers, Dermot O'Leary, Billie Piper, Amanda Holden, Piers Morgan, Denise Van Outen, Abigail Clancy, Anna Kendrick and Yoko Ono.
Press coverage generated was valued in excess of £3 million and included the morning slot on GMTV and Sky News, front page on the Daily Mirror and The Metro, double page spread in The Sun, The Telegraph, and scattered across an array of online press including the BBC and Daily Mail.
