WHO WE ARE: MEET THE TEAM
A company is only as good as its people and key to Timebased’s success is our distinct blend of highly talented individuals who form a creative and experienced close-knit team.
Starting from small and humble beginnings in 1996 our team continues to expand but as we do we promise to always maintain our small agency standards.
We achieve this big approach despite being small by working with an extended network of varied and exceptional suppliers.
From event managers and production specialists to talented designers and marketing specialists, each member of Timebased plays a vital role in delivering the ultimate live event experience to our clients.

Katy Haile:
Communications Manager
Naturally, the Timebased copywriter enjoys penning everyone's biogs but her own. If you need reassurance and more than vague spin about what she does and whether she's qualified please speak to her mother.

Astrid Limal:
Events Manager
London living and French educated Astrid is our most recent recruit, having previously worked at Alexander McQueen and Wallpaper magazine. She is passionate about interior design and set dressing, and now she brings her expertise and experience in these areas to Timebased. In her first few months Astrid has been inspiring her broad mix of clients with the clever use of glitter balls, typographic wallpaper and a touch of Parisian chic.

Clare Howlett:
Head of Business Development
Clare's colourful career started with a spell teaching in Japan and travelling abroad, before she returned to London for a graduate contract with a publisher where she worked on everything from editorial to HR. She then took a Marketing role with a dot.com company in New York, but left just before the bubble burst, phew! Luckily for us, Clare then returned to the fine pubs and familiar faces in Clerkenwell and began a Business Development career that would eventually lead to her role at Timebased where we are proud to say she has stayed for 7 years. With her incredible ability to suss out where to find cool and creative briefs, she ensures the rest of us get to work on exciting projects every day.

Jasmine Smith:
Event Manager
It was whilst managing an Exchange Festival as part of her Arts Management degree that Jasmine decided she wanted to work in events. The hard work and pressure to ensure every detail is perfect didn’t unsettle this laid back lady one bit, and the opportunity to create a rich moment in time has proved to be an infinitely rewarding task ever since. Her strong interest in arts and culture is a deep well that inspires her great ideas, and she keeps check of the latest musical talent out there by regularly attending festivals – a tedious task, but someone’s got to do it.

Richard Dodgson:
Creative Director
Having spent the first part of his career on the stage and screen in Berlin and Manchester, Richard returned to London to set up his own events production agency. His creativity, enthusiasm and gifted ability to handle the most difficult logistical briefs, swiftly brought him to the forefront of innovative event production. 17 years later he is still on top, managing events for a wide range of loyal clients including Condé Nast, Selfridges, D&AD, nurturing talented young event managers and keeping the rich and famous happy at every Timebased event they attend.

Rachel Hudson:
Senior Events Manager
Our Senior Events Manager and only Antipodean, Rachel is the beating heart in the Timebased wardrobe. After working as a stylist at fashion shows around the globe (including Sydney, India, Colombia and London), she brought her passion for individuality and sharp eye for detail to Timebased where her knowledge of all things couture is invaluable. On top of this she manages a variety of events that include award ceremonies, launches, press shows and parties, which are all similar in just one sense – each is unique.

James Burch:
Office Manager
Cool, calm, collected James – our multi-talented Timebased lynchpin - where would we be without you? Well, we'd be without stationery and an organised production schedule that’s for sure. But in his other guise, James is our in-house film critic, venue expert, cake baking genius and cocktail specialist. His support at each Timebased event gets a 5 star review and we are 100% sure we cannot let him return to a career in Law.

Catherine Smith:
Head of Finance
Before becoming a mum, Catherine worked in the Civil Service, then joined a Government owned newspaper in their recruitment department. She left to return to study Human Resources and at the same time paid the bills with part-time work looking after various companies' accounts. She then became Head of Personnel for a construction firm, before she eventually set up her own company in this field which she enjoyed running for a number of years.
However, once her daughter started school it made much more sense to stay occupied with part-time contracts looking after other companies’ accounts. 7 years ago Timebased became a client and we are happy to note that Catherine swiftly became an official part-time employee. So now we are her only client – aren’t we selfish!

Peter Studley:
Production Manager
Once a banker in Liverpool, Peter realised in his early '20s that life would be much more satisfactory if he could find a vocation which utilised his natural flair for practical challenges. Venturing into furniture building and office refurbishments soon led him to London where he then undertook set build projects for Timebased. Several years on, Peter is now Timebased’s hands, hammer, paint, hard hat, measuring tape, stepladder, power drill and screws. With his oversight and direction, his crew build a reality from the team’s ideas with finesse and great effect. Ice caves, catwalks, sushi 'shoe' belts and indoor ponds – nothing is impossible.

Oliver Dean:
Designer
Having spent his teenage years valeting cars for the rich and famous, our East Ender Oli was a mere whippersnapper when he realised he was destined to pursue his intense interest in interior design and the restoration of industrial antiques. Having completed his BA in Product Design at the prestigious Central St. Martin’s, Timebased scooped him up falling immediately for his cheeky charm and clever ideas. 5 years later and the love affair continues and Oli’s impressive resume boasts set designs for GQ, Glamour and ASOS.
