Prince's Trust Invest in Futures 2016

Old Billingsgate, London.
4 February 2016.

For the second consecutive year and in celebration of the Trust’s 40th anniversary, Timebased were engaged to deliver a spectacular night of fun and fundraising. With end-to-end responsibility for cost-effective creative production, show design and content as well as talent liaison, the event was hosted at London’s Old Billingsgate and brought together 350 celebrities, patrons, ambassadors, high net worth individuals and friends to celebrate with HRH The Prince of Wales.

A red carpet adorned with floral arches, soft orb light and twinkling fairy lights drew guests through to a welcome reception where screens and projection was used to tell forty years of personal stories and messages of thanks from the young people themselves, encouraging donations throughout the evening. A display of auction prizes included a Fender Stratocaster guitar signed by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and a Philippe Patek watch.

The dining hall included a large, full-width stage set using large video screens to support storytelling and messaging, alongside minimal and sophisticated table design. An overhead installation by lighting designers, Squid Soup, complemented performances and added intimacy.

During the evening, we coordinated a welcome address from HRH The Prince of Wales, a silent and live auction plus a performance from pop princess, Kylie. Event hosts, Hugh Dennis and Joanna Lumley, plus guests Jerry Hall, Helen McCrory, David Haye, Tinie Tempah, Boris Becker, Philip Schofield and Geri Horner were all in attendance to ramp up the glamour stakes. With more than £2million raised on the night, the vital work of The Prince’s Trust goes on.
